Supporting Our Communities

Charity Work

– The Big Help Project has been our nominated Charity of the Year since 2018.
– Provides a unique opportunity for all staff to unite behind an inspiring cause.

 

Volunteering

– We implemented a 2-week fully paid volunteering break for all staff in 2018
– So far this has contributed 1900 volunteering hours and 900 hours of supermarket food collections and leafleting.

 

Education Days

– Aimed at college and school leavers
– Hosted at our manufacturers sites
– Providing an overview of a manufacturing business and types of roles available
– Designed to help attendees understand the workplace and the skills employers are seeking

 

Donations

– The Big Help Project has been our nominated Charity of the Year since 2018.
– Provides a unique opportunity for all staff to unite behind an inspiring cause.

 

Employee Giving

– Scheme in place for staff to donate £1 per month from their salary
– Donated to Knowsley Food bank
– So far, we have provided food for a week for over 480 families

 

Work Experience

– NEET focused
– VeteransHQ – working to create a scheme specific for ex armed forces
– Changing Lives Halton – working to provide a placement scheme to help
Halton residents

Our Real Living Wage accreditation sees everyone working at Jenkinson’s receives a wage they can live on rather than the government minimum.

We now engage with a range of agencies to advance diversity and inclusion in our workforce ie Veterans Agency, Care Leavers and Disability Confident.

 

Employee Wellbeing
We foster a positive and stress-free workplace and provide mental health awareness training for all our staff. This teaches strategies to promote wellness and support good mental health. Helping staff lead happier and healthier lives.
