Jenkinsons accredited Real Living Wage Employer

Real Living Wage Employer Since 2022

Jenkinsons has been an accredited Real Living Wage Employer since November 2022, reflecting our commitment to fair pay, responsible employment and supporting the wellbeing of our employees.

Accredited by the Living Wage Foundation, we voluntarily pay the Real Living Wage because we believe our people deserve a wage that reflects the real cost of living, not simply the statutory minimum. This commitment is part of the values that have shaped Jenkinsons for over 100 years.

Why Being a Real Living Wage Employer Matters?

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Paying the Real Living Wage goes beyond legal requirements; it helps create a workplace where employees feel valued, supported and fairly rewarded.

As an accredited Real Living Wage Employer, we are committed to:

  • Supporting the financial wellbeing of our employees.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive workplace.
  • Attracting and retaining talented people.
  • Recognising the contribution every colleague makes.
  • Acting responsibly within the communities we serve.

These commitments help us build a strong workplace culture and support the long-term success of our business.

What Is the Real Living Wage?

The Real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate independently calculated using the actual cost of living. It is reviewed annually by the Living Wage Foundation to reflect changes in living costs across the UK.

Unlike the Government's National Living Wage, which is set by legislation, the Real Living Wage is a voluntary rate adopted by employers who choose to go further in supporting their workforce.

Thousands of organisations across the UK have become accredited Living Wage Employers, recognising that fair pay benefits both employees and businesses by improving wellbeing, engagement and staff retention.

About the Living Wage Foundation

The Living Wage Foundation is the organisation behind the Real Living Wage movement. It works with employers across the UK to encourage fair pay and recognises businesses that voluntarily commit to paying the Real Living Wage.

Since becoming an accredited Living Wage Employer in November 2022, Jenkinsons has been proud to stand alongside thousands of organisations committed to responsible employment and supporting their people.
